What's New in this Release
The DataCore Plug-in for VMware vSphere 3.10 includes the following new features and enhancements:
-
When creating or editing a virtual disk template, you can now choose the intensity of Adaptive Data Placement (ADP) (e.g., Lazy, Normal, or Aggressive). ADP will be visible only when ILDC features, such as Inline Compression or Inline Deduplication, are enabled. This allows you to control the level of optimization applied to the virtual disks within the template, optimizing data placement across the storage resources.
-
Added Backup Server (Child) and Backup Pool fields in the New Virtual Disk Template > Storage Sources section. These fields enable support for 3-way mirrored Virtual Disks, which require a Backup Server (Child) for redundancy and, optionally, a dedicated third pool. These fields are visible only when using DataCore SANsymphony PSP20 or later.
-
You can assign vTags when creating new datastores. These vTags help categorize and manage datastores based on their labels. The selected vTags will be displayed in the 'vTags' column of the Datastores list. The vTags option is visible only when using DataCore SANsymphony PSP20 or later.
-
The DataCore Hosts table displays the VMware ESX version, including the OS and build number, in the ESX Version column. This update enhances visibility by providing more detailed versioning information for better management and troubleshooting of ESX hosts.
