What's New in this Release

The DataCore Plug-in for VMware vSphere 3.3 includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • The "Quantity" field has been added to the workflow used for creating Virtual Disks (vDisks) when a Virtual Disk template is not specified by the administrator.
  • The Certificate Signature Algorithm of the DataCore Self Signed Certificate has been changed from SHA-1 to SHA-256, which is a stronger certificate for secured HTTP. This change requires the administrators to unregister and re-register the DataCore Plug-in.
  • "Oversubscription" and "Usage" columns have been added to the Disk Pool details page. This will enable the administrators to identify if a pool is oversubscribed and help them to decide where a new vDisk should place the data, when multiple pools are available per server.
