What's New in this Release
The DataCore Plug-in for VMware vSphere 3.5 includes the following new features and enhancements:
- The "Create New Datastore" workflow has been enhanced to display all hosts, regardless of their status. If a new datastore is created when the host is not healthy, such as in attention state, then the "Create New Datastore" process fails and an error message is displayed to enable the administrator to take remedial action.
- The "Serve Unassigned Virtual Disks" workflow has been enhanced to allow selection of multiple hosts so that multiple virtual disks can be served to multiple hosts.
- The "Edit Disk Pool" workflow has been improved to allow changes to the Disk Tier levels, along with other details like Pool Name, Description, Maximum Number of Tiers, and Space Preserved for New Allocations.
- The process of expanding a datastore has been improved so that the datastores can be reliably expanded to the user-requested size. This resolves the issues of incomplete datastore expansion operation due to the timing of rescans and missed user-requested expansion due to multiple requests.
