What's New in DataCore SANsymphony 10.0 PSP20 - Preview 1

  • A new feature 3-Way Virtual Disk Creation is added to the DataCore Management Console(DMC) to streamline the process of creating 3-way virtual disks. This feature enables the direct creation of 3-way virtual disks through the wizard, eliminating the need for manual mirror addition.

  • A new feature Reference Template Selection is added to the DMC to enhance the efficiency of virtual disk setup. This feature allows you to select a reference template in the virtual disk wizard, automatically pre-selecting values for faster setup while still allowing for customization.

  • A new feature Configure 3-Way Member Roles for 3-Way Virtual Disks is added to the DMC. This feature allows you to change logical disk roles within a 3-Way Virtual Disk, ensuring data redundancy and improving high availability. By assigning fixed roles (Parent, Mirror, Backup), you can manage failovers more efficiently, enhancing system reliability and minimizing downtime.

  • A new feature Server Maintenance Mode is added to the DMC to allow a server to enter maintenance mode without shutting down. Mirror I/O operations continue on the operational server, while individual virtual disks go offline. Data remains synchronized. The server stays in maintenance mode until manually exited and reconnects to the host without requiring log recovery, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • A new feature DataCore Intelligence Service (DcsTmy) Status Notifications is added to DMC. This feature enables you to track the DcsTmy Service connectivity status and data transmission, generating notifications to alert you of any changes in the DcsTmy service status. It provides real-time updates, ensuring the prompt detection of connectivity issues. These notifications help you take immediate action and prevent disruptions in connectivity and data transmission.

  • A new feature DataCore Intelligence Service (DcsTmy) for Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Licensing is added to ensure compliance with CSP license terms by monitoring DataCore Intelligence Service connectivity and data transmission to the cloud. If DataCore Intelligence Service connection is disrupted due to licensing issues or violations of license compliance, alert notifications will be generated in SANsymphony. These alerts help CSP license customers identify and resolve compliance issues to prevent non-compliance.
