DataCore Puls8 Prerequisites

Before you install DataCore Puls8, you must ensure that your Kubernetes environment meets all required system and storage prerequisites. You can prepare your nodes in one of two ways:

  • Automatic Prerequisites Setup (Prerequisites Handler) - DataCore Puls8 prepares your nodes automatically by configuring Linux HugePages for Replicated PV Mayastor, installing and loading the nvme_tcp kernel module for Replicated PV Mayastor, and installing the rdma-core package where required. The Prerequisites Handler is currently supported on recent systemd-based Ubuntu and Debian operating systems.
  • Manual Prerequisites Setup - You verify and configure requirements yourself, including supported versions, system settings, kernel modules, HugePages, and storage components.

You can choose the method that best fits your environment and operational workflow.
