Known Issues
- The Datastore creation may timeout if the ESXi host takes a long time to execute Host Bus Adaptors (HBA) rescans due to unreachable targets or paths.
-
Creation of a new VMFS datastore can take a few minutes to appear in the Datastore table. If the datastore is not created, then see Troubleshooting for workarounds.
-
The DataCore Plug-in will not allow serving or deleting storage if any of the SANsymphony servers in a group are in the "Attention" state. In this case, the administrator must address the status issues with SANsymphony servers before proceeding or use the DataCore Management Console (DMC) to work around this limitation.
-
Creation of a new Datastore using a template fails if the Datastore Name exceeds 63 characters. As a workaround, reduce the length of either the Virtual Disk Name or the Virtual Disk Prefix in the Edit Virtual Disk Template page.
-
The selection of multiple hosts in the "Serve Existing Or New Virtual Disk" workflow may not occasionally serve the virtual disks to all of the requested hosts. This issue occurs due to mismatched LUN numbers. To verify the reason, open "Get Log Messages" and verify that the log message states "The possible reason: Unable to match the LUN numbers.".
