Upgrading the DataCore Plug-in

Future releases of the DataCore Plug-in can be downloaded from the Software Downloads on DataCore.com and installed on top of any existing installation by running the new installer package. Re-registration of the DataCore Plug-in with vCenter is not required when upgrading an existing installation. Registration is required only for first-time installation of DataCore Plug-in on any given host.

If you have previously modified the ‘Web.config’ file on the host to update any REST service functionality, then consider saving a copy of the file prior to the installation of new package. The installer will display a warning message before over-writing the existing Web.config file.
