Overview

DataCore Plug-in for VMware vSphere (DataCore Plug-in) allows you to integrate SANsymphony with vSphere. DataCore Plug-in enables the provisioning of DataCore storage to ESXi hosts directly from the vCenter Management Console displaying a user interface, that delivers improved usability and integration with vCenter.

DataCore Plug-in may be connected to any number of existing SANsymphony server groups in your environment and may provision VMFS datastores and Virtual Disks (vDisks) from DataCore storage. Some common SANsymphony management operations are also available.

DataCore Plug-in is not intended to replace the DataCore Management Console (DMC). The plug-in focuses on providing simplified ESXi-centric actions and/or operations. The DMC will continue to provide more advanced and fine-grain functionality.
There is no dependency between DataCore Plug-in 3.0 and the legacy plug-in 2.x. The legacy plug-in may be disabled or removed from the vSphere web client.
