Restart after Crash

The Restart after Crash feature allows DataCore SANsymphony virtualization to automatically start after a DataCore Server reboots from an unexpected stoppage. This ensures that mirror recoveries can begin once virtualization is automatically restarted.

You can enable this feature on the Server Group > Settings tab. The setting applies to every DataCore server in the server group. The default value for restart attempts after a crash is 0. Changing the value to 1 or higher allows DataCore SANsymphony virtualization to automatically restart after a reboot.

The maximum number of restart attempts is limited within a 4-hour period. If the number of attempts is exhausted during this window and a DataCore Server in the group stops, DataCore SANsymphony virtualization will no longer automatically restart and the server will remain in a stopped state. In this case, mirror recoveries will not resume until the DataCore Server is rebooted and virtualization is manually started.
