Issues Resolved in DataCore SANsymphony 10.0 PSP15 Update 2

Aborting UNMAP Commands

A DataCore Server crash may occur if SCSI UNMAP commands sent by a host are aborted.

Activate-DcsLicense Cmdlet

The Activate-DcsLicense cmdlet displayed an error message, "SecurityNegotationException" when attempting to activate the license via the PowerShell and REST methods.

Anonymization: Support Bundle Multibyte Issue

Multibyte systems (e.g., Japanese) using the anonymized user data feature would produce corrupted support bundle files.

Capacity Optimized Pool Size

A diskpool with capacity optimization “enabled” may display the wrong allocation size while storage allocation units assigned to the capacity optimization configured storage is decommissioned.

DataCore Deployment Wizard

The DataCore Deployment Wizard may try to modify the wrong server if an issue with the name resolution exists.

DataCore iSCSI Target Driver

If a network socket used by the iSCSI target driver failed to close correctly, a system crash could occur.

DataCore Management Console

  • Working iSCSI target ports on a SANsymphony server are sometimes displayed as “Not started” and display an IP address of either “0.0.0.0” or "255.255.55.255".

  • During recoveries of many virtual disks the DataCore Management Console became unresponsive and eventually crashed.

Disk Performance Counters

Performance counters for physical disks show a “zero” value immediately after they are added or other disks are removed from a disk pool.

Mirrored Disk Pool Physical Disks

Recovery of a mirrored physical disk in a pool hosting virtual disk content may lead to incorrect written data at the recovered physical disk.

Mirrored Virtual Disk Recovery

Occasionally, unexpected log recoveries may be triggered by ESXi's VAAI ATS "Compare and Write" (CAW) commands between DataCore Servers for mirrored virtual disks.

Preferred Path Setting of Virtual Disks

The preferred path settings of virtual disks using Fibre Channel mappings may get removed when all the DataCore Servers in a Server Group are stopped.

Processing Multiple UNMAP Requests

SCSI UNMAP requests sent by multiple hosts to a DataCore Server may delay the completion of the oldest UNMAP request, possibly causing the host to timeout.

Shared Disk Pools when using Encryption

Physical disks added to a shared disk pool that is also configured for encryption may fail the reclamation process if added from the non-authorized node (i.e. non-SMPA shared disk pools).

Snapshot

Host and mirror I/Os could be blocked (report SCSI BUSY) for virtual disks with multiple snapshots while deleting the latest snapshot.

Target ID Requests

An unexpected SCSI request for an 'out of range' Target ID sent by the storage array may crash a DataCore Server.

Virtual Disk Witness

A virtual disk witness check may fail when the mirror SANsymphony server is unavailable.
