Installation

The following versions can be upgraded to DataCore Intelligence Service 1.7.1:

• DataCore Intelligence Service 1.7
• DataCore Intelligence Service 1.6
• DataCore Intelligence Service 1.5
• DataCore Intelligence Service 1.4
• DataCore Intelligence Service 1.3

The installer will stop services from all previous versions during installation and remove the DcsTelemetry service, if it exists. It will then install the DataCore Intelligence Service.

Pre-Requisites

The user performing the installation must have administrative privileges.

What Is Installed

• DataCore Intelligence Service
• DataCore.Extensions.Cmdlets.dll

Instructions

1. Download and extract the MSI file to the DataCore server's desktop.

2. Rename the MSI file to DataCoreIntelligence.msi.

3. Double-click DataCoreIntelligence.msi.
4. Click Next, accept the EULA and follow the remaining prompts.

If installing DataCore Intelligence Service on a machine with DataCore SANsymphony, credentials need to be the same for both DataCore SANsymphony and DataCore Intelligence Service. If different credentials are used, DataCore Intelligence Service will not be able to collect data.

This installer does not require a restart of the operating system.

Importing the Cmdlet Module

1. Open PowerShell in C:\Program Files\DataCore\Extensions\TMY\TMYSrv.
2. Type: Import-Module .\DataCore.Extensions.Cmdlets.dll
