Protocol Endpoints

The DataCore VASA Provider creates protocol endpoint (PE) vDisks in DataCore SANsymphony for all vDisk templates.

• For each template, a pair of PEs is created: an endpoint for VMs and an endpoint for snapshots.
• Each protocol endpoint is only created once for a specific pool combination, regardless of how many templates use this combination.
• The name and description of a PE starts with "Protocol Endpoint", and includes the vDisk template name for which this PE was created. Several templates can share the same PE if they use the same pool combination.
• Pools and PE vDisks used in templates cannot be removed from the server group configuration.
