Creating a Storage Policy

To create a new storage policy:

1. From the Virtual Machine (VM) Storage Policies section under Policies and Profiles, click Create.
2. Under the Policy Structure in the Create VM Storage Policy wizard, select Enable rules for “DataCore.SANsymphonyV2” storage from the Datastore specific rules section.
3. Add the rules that apply to the policy as mentioned in the Storage Policy Based Management and Storage Policy Based Management and Replication topics, respectively. Once added, all the virtual volume (vVol) datastores that are compatible with the rules are displayed.
4. Review the settings and click Finish to complete the process. The storage policy is created successfully.
