Crash Recovery Count

The Crash Recovery Count feature allows virtualization to automatically start after a DataCore Server reboots from an unexpected stoppage. This feature allows for mirror recoveries to begin after virtualization is automatically started.

You can enable this feature on the Server Group Setting tab; it will be applied to every DataCore Server in the server group. The default value for Maximum automatic restarts after crash is 0. Changing the value to 1 or higher will allow DataCore SANsymphony virtualization to automatically start after a reboot.

The maximum number of restarts specified is limited to a 4 hour period. If the number of restarts is exhausted within this window and a DataCore Server in the server group stops, DataCore SANsymphony virtualization will no longer automatically start and the server will remain in a stopped state. Mirror recoveries will not start until the DataCore Server is rebooted and virtualization manually started.
