Issues Resolved in DataCore SANsymphony 10.0 PSP16
Capacity Optimization
SANsymphony may become unresponsive immediately after startup if Capacity Optimization is enabled.
DataCore Executive Service
When stopping a DataCore Server, the DataCore Executive Service gets stuck in a "stopping" state.
DataCore Management Console
- A DataCore Server shows as ‘unavailable’ in the DataCore Management Console or cannot be reached after using the "Connect-DcsServer" PowerShell command.
- In large configurations using the 'VMware vCenter Integration' feature, the DataCore Management Console may hang and in some cases the DataCore Executive Service (DCSX.exe) may crash and not (re)start.
Deferred Procedure Call Processing
The system could encounter a bug check condition with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.
Disk Pool
Automatic or Manual Reclamation would fail for Storage Allocation Units (SAU) located on a Physical Disk that was part of a Disk Pool mirror if the primary mirrored physical disk was offline or failed.
Fibre Channel Ports
Unexpected Fabric interruptions may cause a DataCore Fibre Channel port to appear to keep resetting.
Performance Counters
Performance Counters for physical disks may return zero values.
Processing SCSI Commands
A system crash could occur while processing the following SCSI commands:
- UNMAP
- ODX TOKENs
- WRITE SAME
Restarting SANsymphony Node
Hosts using multiple paths to a Virtual Disk may go into All Paths Down (APD) state when a SANsymphony node is restarted.
SANsymphony Deployment
SANsymphony deployment fails with the "Invalid enum value 'SixtyFourGB'" error when the SANsymphony server uses Emulex Host Bus Adapters (HBA).
Snapshot
A virtual disk 'Move' operation may fail if the storage source that is being moved already has snapshots associated with it.
Tier Rebalancing
Storage Allocation Unit (SAU) balancing within a Tier may appear as not working.
Tier Space for New Allocations
The setting for 'Preserving Tier Space for New Allocations' was being ignored for some physical disks in a Tier.
Virtual Disk Deletion
Deleting a Virtual Disk while it is still clustered may result in a DataCore Server crash.
Virtualization
A controller deadlock caused the servers to be stuck in an "Unavailable" state after starting the DataCore Executive Service and required support to stop.
