Issues Resolved in DataCore SANsymphony 10.0 PSP15

Client Mappings

The host loses access to the DataCore Disk (looped back vDisk) on the DataCore server when a Front-end (FE) iSCSI connection is removed.

DataCore Deployment Wizard

In some scenarios, DataCore Deployment Wizard sends the DcsAdmin password in plain text to the remote server.

DataCore Management Console

  • When creating a rollback via the graphical user interface (GUI) in the DataCore Management Console, the rollback assigns the owner as the current user even if the checkbox is mot selected.

  • DataCore Management Console freezes when clicking on certain objects.

ESXi Hosts

High latency when stopping the server causes issues on the ESXi Hosts using ATS.

LUN Selection

When serving a vDisk to a host and setting the path mode to redundant paths, the LUN selection control was disabled.

Older Emulex Host Bus Adapters and SANsymphony 10.0 PSP15

After upgrading to SANsymphony 10.0 PSP15, an issue was encountered where the 9000 to 12000 series Emulex Host Bus Adapters (HBA) did not correctly load the SANsymphony driver. Refer to the Hotfix 1 for SANsymphony 10.0 PSP15 on the Downloads page that addresses this issue.

Parallel IO

When EnableParallelIo registry key is enabled by default, some IO load performance on some customer environments are impacted.

Customers who already have the EnableParallelIo in their registry will not be impacted.

QLogic

  • The ports on certain Qlogic QLE26xx and QLE27xx Host Bus Adapters (HBA) stated an error "Ports not started" after the firmware was updated. See the Qlogic Service Update instructions for more information.

  • The QLogic 16Gb and HBA allows the user to set a connection mode of "Loop preferred, otherwise P2P", even though "Loop" is not supported.

Snapshot Deletion

  • In the rare case of a backend IO error, while deleting the newest snapshot, the host loses access to the original vDisk.

  • While deleting the newest snapshot, the production virtual disk gets blocked and returns busy for the full duration.
