Replication Performance

This page provides visibility into how well replication is doing, or how far behind in data and time it is, in total and for each virtual disk.

  1. In the Navigation Panel, click Protect & Recover Data to expand the menu options.

  2. Click Replication Performance.
  3. On this page, you can view:

    • Total Untransferred Data: This is the sum of untransferred data for all virtual disks plus any standby disks that are not part of a local replication. Consider the following examples:
      • In the preceding image, both VDisk 1 and Virtual disk 1 are in the ASR Server Group, with remote replication to Southwest Server Group and East Server Group, respectively. In this example, Total Untransferred Data is the sum of untransferred data for VDisk 1 (4KB) and Virtual disk 1 (4KB), for a total of 8KB.
      • For virtual disks replicated to one of several remote server groups, the list would show all active virtual disks. In this case, Total Untransferred Data would be the sum of all their untransferred data.
      • For a server group that is the remote side for virtual disks from several other server groups, the list would show all standby disks. In this case, the Total Untransferred Data would be the sum of all their untransferred data.
    • Maximum Time Difference: The maximum value of the Time Difference column in the Virtual Disk table, across all virtual disks. Time Difference is literally the time between "now" and the oldest data in the replication buffer.
    • Virtual Disks table: This table shows all virtual disks in the current server group that are involved with replication in some way.
      • To filter the table, use the Show Replication Groups drop-down. You can choose a single server group or all server groups.
      • Each virtual disk has an Action menu, where you can select View Replication to move to the Replication Details page.
