Automatically Configured Settings
The DataCore Installation Manager for Hyper-V installation automatically configures the following items:

- Default virtual machine settings (It is recommended to configure the values as applicable.):
- CPU 4
- RAM 12GB
- Disk 100GB
- RDM physical disks
- Create pool
Language Pack: English (United States)- Installs the virtual machine and sets the default language of the Windows operating system as English. However, the language settings can be changed from the Language Pack drop-down.
- Physical disks configured as RDM
- Sets static MAC addresses for iSCSI ports
- Sets Ethernet port bandwidth weight
- Mirror port = 100
- Target port = 80
- Invokes Set-iSCSIPortSettings.ps1 script which:
- Disables DNS registration
- Disables WINs
- Disables net adapter bindings
- Disables Nagle
- Disables Ack
- Disables adapter power saving
- Disables SRIOV
- Enables RSC
- Enables RSS
- Creates transport filter "DatacenterCustom" to specify optimal TCP settings for all iSCSI TCP connections
- Pins iSCSI Initiator IQN
- Power plan is set to High Performance
- Windows Updates are enabled
- Windows Firewall is enabled

- Creates virtual switches with default settings
- Adds physical adapters to virtual switches
- Enables MPIO
- Installs DataCore Storage Management Provider
- Installs DataCore Windows Integration Kit
- Sets Ethernet bandwidth weight:
- Initiator port = 80
- Invokes Set-iSCSIPortSettings.ps1 script which:
- Disables DNS registration
- Disables WINs
- Disables net adapter bindings
- Disables Nagle
- Disables Ack
- Disables adapter power saving
- Disables SRIOV
- Enables RSC
- Enables RSS
- Creates transport filter "DatacenterCustom" to specify optimal TCP settings for all iSCSI TCP connections
- Starts Microsoft iSCSI Initiator service
- Sets Microsoft iSCSI Initiator server startup type to Automatic
- Pins iSCSI Initiator IQN

- Set backup folder for each server to C:\DataCore_Backup
- Set mirror recovery speed to 64
- Sets node name (IQN) for each iSCSI port to '%domain%:%server_name%-%port_name%' (for example, the target network port node name is set to 'iqn.1991-05.com.microsoft:hvsan-host1-target1')
